The Last Boat to Samui

This is a new selection of short stories taken from my two previous collections, Mango and Sticky Rice and Mist on the Jungle. It is published by Bamboo Sinfonia in paperback for bookshops in Thailand. It's not going to be available as an e-book.
Characters you'll meet in this book include a distrustful couple of young professionals, a lascivious businessman who prefers ladyboys to ladies, a Western man trying to come to terms with his wife's religious beliefs, a photographer hired to witness a murder, a Thai widow searching for her husband's roots in Crete and a Pattaya resident who would prefer not to have to go home to Nebraska. Then there's the title story in which a ferryboat captain seems determined to sink his own ship and there are two outings for Thailand's coolest private detective, the unflappable Kress, in Pattaya and Hua Hin.
It all adds up to a read you can get your teeth into. I hope it gives you a lot of laughs and that it also produces the occasional tearful moment.
Available as a 240-page paperback.
